Rap Hip Hop Section: Why is he SO underrated as a rapper, he has the best metaphors of all time hands down?

I don't think he's underrated in this section, but outside of it, I don't think the average fan even knew who he was. I think everyone in DITC aside from Fat Joe was underrated. If Big L didn't die when he did, he would have gotten more recognition, because he was about sign with Rocafella, and even though I never thought that would have been a good career move on his part, he would have at least gotten more exposure. He always had some of the best metaphors and punchlines, and I think most fans who have listened to him will agree.
