Will my hair fall out if i keep dying it with a dark colour?

Ok, admittedly i dye my hair a lot. Although its always soft and shiny and looks pretty healthy, im starting to worry that dying it will cause it to fall out. The reason i have to keep doing it is because my hair is naturally blonde so my roots always come through. My mum says that dying it a dark colour won't cause it to fall out as it doesn't have bleach in it, but i want a second opinion.?
