Why won't conservatives acknowledge that the US government currently has a spending AND a revenue problem?

Because we don't have a revenue problem. The federal government brings in about $8000 for every man, woman and child in this country. State and local governments bring in more. In all, government has more than $12,000 per person in this country to work with. That's plenty of money to cover the services that government should be providing.
